 16E1 120OHM/75OHMS interface converter (RJ45 TO BNC FEMALE CONNECTOR ):

 1. The Model ZHQ-16 Series allow 75 Ohm coax to communicate with 120  Ohm twisted pair equipment.

2. The Model ZHQ-16 Series specifically address the ONP requirement that PTTs offer 120 Ohm twisted pair terminations to their customers.

3. Some telecommunication equipments output only on 75 Ohm coax, or have customer whose CPE has only 75Ohm coax connections.

4. The Model ZHQ-16 Series present a ready solution to this termination mismatch by allowing a big-directional conversion of coax(75Ohm) to a twisted pair (120Ohm).

5. Supporting data rates to E1(2.048Mbps).

6. The signals output by them are scaled to match the pulse shape requirements specified by the CCITTG 703 standard.

 

The Model ZHQ-16 come in the following versions:

1. 16A: Having a bi-directional conversion of coax (75Ohm) to a twisted pair (120Ohm).

2. Each line: A shielded RJ-45 Jack, two female coaxial connectors with bayonet connection (i.e. center conductor is a receptacle).

3. 16B: Having a bi-directional conversion of coax (75Ohm) to a twisted pair (120Ohm).

4. Each line: A shielded RJ-45 Jack, two female coaxial connectors with bayonet connection (i.e. center conductor is a receptacle).

RJ-45 Jack Descriptions

1. Pins 1 and 2 are the balanced inputs. The balanced signals are converted to an unbalanced signal on the center conductor of the TX out coax connector.

2. The unbalanced signal from the RX in coax connector is converted to balanced signals on pins ( 4 and 5 ) of the RJ-45.

3. The shield of the TX out modular cable (120 Ω) is connected to ground by jumper JP1(on).

4.  The shield of the RX In modular cable (120 Ω) is connected to ground by jumper JP2 (on).

5.  The shield of the TX out coaxial connector is connected to ground by jumper JP3 (on).

6. The shield of the RX In coaxial connector is connected to ground by jumper JP4 (on).

7. The shield RJ-45 Jack is connected to ground by jumper JP5 (on).

 

INSTALLATION 

  Refer to the pin configuration below when assembling the cable that will connect to the RJ-45 jack.
